Part Two-C: Golf Tournament Sign Up

The tournament takes place at the famous Sandpiper Golf Club, which overlooks the Pacific Ocean just a few miles from the Family Vacation Center. It features breathtaking mountain and ocean views from every hole.

You must submit this form at least two weeks prior to your arrival date. Golfers of all ability levels are encouraged to participate.

Because of our agreement with Sandpiper Golf Club, we need to be strict about signup and cancellation policies. Cancellations less than one week prior to your arrival date cannot be refunded. The Special FVC Rate of $130 includes: a round of golf, a fantastic luncheon at the clubhouse immediately after the tournament, prizes, and lots of smiles. (normally priced at $170)

BEGINNER: (“hacker,” “chopper,” “whiffer”) Generally nice people, few real hang-ups. Enjoy camaraderie, sunshine and walking. Willing to play with their spouses. Have to have punch lines from golf jokes explained to them. The only course they have played more than once had a windmill on the last hole.

INTERMEDIATE: (“stabber,” “yipper”) Watches golf 5-10 times a year on television. Talks a better game than can actually play. Can’t wait to buy this year’s newest design in clubs and balls. Knows at least 10 golf jokes.

Part Three: Request for Babysitting Services If you do not require babysitting services Go to Next Page now. Staff and CITs are available for babysitting if you want to participate in an activity that does not coincide with our regularly scheduled kids group hours. Many vacationers enjoy eating dinner at one of Santa Barbara’s many outstanding restaurants, going to a movie or just having some vacation time to themselves. We’re happy to assist in babysitting any time you need us. You need to agree on an hourly rate with your individual sitter before you leave. Rates are negotiated between you and your sitter, depending on ages and the number of children involved but we suggest a minimum of $10 per hour depending on the number of families and children included. If you cancel less than two hours prior to the time you have scheduled your sitter, you are required to pay your babysitter the one-hour minimum charge since your babysitter likely skipped other jobs to commit to serving you. Confirmation of babysitters will be on the Babysitting Board, which is located to the side of the Front Desk in the Lobby. Babysitters will meet you at your room unless you make other arrangements with them. Please pay the babysitter directly and right after the shift is over. Sitter fees cannot be added to your tab. Some of the most common times vacationers request babysitters are Monday night from 9:00-11:00pm during Adult Crafts and Rock Climbing, Tuesday night from 9:00-11:00pm for Pub Trivia Night, Wednesday if the adults are going out on the town or participating in Bring Your Own Winetasting, and Thursday from 9:00-10:30pm for the Adult Karaoke.
